A new program has been introduced, with applications opening in February and closing in March. To be eligible, students must be US citizens, lawfully present, and have a parent residing in the state. They must also be eligible to attend public or charter schools.
The program received a large number of applications, with over 270,000 students applying. A report was released, detailing the number of awarded applications by district. However, some districts are not included in the report to protect student privacy.
