A performance is being prepared to honor the 150-year legacy of Prairie View A&M University. The production, titled Dear Prairie View, will premiere at the Wortham Theater Center on September 4-5, 2026. It is a multidisciplinary work that will tell the story of the university through dance, music, spoken word, and visual storytelling.

The production was created and choreographed by Harrison Guy, a dancer and activist based in Houston. Guy is the founder of Urban Souls Dance Company.

Further details about the performance are available from Performing Arts Houston, the commissioner of the production.
