The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is hosting a unique event from August 4-11. A herd of 300 to 400 goats will be grazing on a seven-acre area near the Ravine.

The goats are part of an effort to control understory growth and invasive plants without using heavy equipment or chemicals. They will be eating a variety of plants, including green briars and poison ivy.

Further details about this event are available from the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. The event is expected to be a popular summer activity in the area.
