The issue began with a power outage that lasted roughly 48 hours, starting on Friday. The couple's calls to management were ignored, forcing them to sleep in their car and eventually pay for a hotel room.

The husband, Mohammed Nkosi, claims they have paid their rent, but management changed the locks without warning. A Harris County deputy was also shocked while checking a breaker box during the power outage.
