With Independence Day just around the corner, cities and venues throughout the Houston area are preparing an exciting lineup of events to celebrate the Fourth of July. From parades and rooftop parties to concerts and massive fireworks shows, here’s where you can join the festivities on Friday.

This Friday marks the Fourth of July, and various cities in the Houston area are gearing up to illuminate the night with a variety of festivities, including parades, rooftop parties, and stunning fireworks shows.
The City of Bellaire kicks off the day with a vibrant Celebration of Independence Parade and Festival from 9 a.m. to noon, featuring live music, delicious food, and two exciting parades along South Rice Avenue.
Heights & Co. is set to present an outdoor screening of the iconic film “Independence Day” at sunset, featuring a selection of food, cocktails, and special discounts on beers. The Kemah Boardwalk is set to host a festive celebration on July 4th, featuring live music from 2 to 11 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be a spectacular fireworks show scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Visitors have the option to enjoy a Boardwalk Beast Cruise for an up-close experience of the fireworks display.
Downtown Houston’s hallmark celebration, Freedom Over Texas, is set to unfold at Eleanor Tinsley Park and Sam Houston Park from 4-10 p.m., showcasing performances by Lee Brice and Ashley McBryde leading up to the spectacular fireworks finale. Entry is priced at $11, and children under the age of five can enter for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Join the excitement at Skylawn at POST Houston for a rooftop watch party from 5-10 p.m. Enjoy stunning views of the Freedom Over Texas fireworks, along with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and live performances. The cost for each ticket is $40.94. In Galveston Island, the Beachfront Parade is set to kick off at 6 p.m. on Seawall Boulevard, with a spectacular fireworks display scheduled for 9:15 p.m. following the parade.
Additional celebrations feature Valley Ranch’s 4th Fest in New Caney, showcasing live music and family-friendly activities leading up to Montgomery County’s largest fireworks display at 9 p.m. There’s also Einstein’s Fireworks Cruise on Lake Conroe from 7:30-10:30 p.m., an adults-only BYOB event.
The Woodlands’ Red, Hot & Blue Festival concludes the day with synchronized fireworks lighting up the sky at various parks throughout the area at 9:30 p.m., and the event is free for everyone to enjoy.
