Two Cleveland ISD school buses collided Wednesday morning near Cleveland Middle School, sending nearly 20 students to the hospital for precautionary evaluations. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Nearly 20 students were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a serious incident involving two Cleveland Independent School District (ISD) buses. The collision happened near Cleveland Middle School at Highway 105 and Highway 321. District officials stated that 17 children were taken to nearby hospitals for preventative assessments and minor injury treatment, even though the precise reason for the incident is still being looked into.
After the event, the pupils were evaluated and cleared before being sent back to Cleveland Middle School, where the nursing staff will continue to monitor them. Thankfully, none of the pupils involved in the collision have been reported to have suffered serious injuries. The district is actively collaborating with local authorities to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident and has called parents to update them on their children's health.
Cleveland ISD thanked first responders for their prompt action and reaffirmed their dedication to guaranteeing the safety of every student in a statement posted on social media. "Transportation is now getting in touch with parents directly about their kids. As we prioritize our students' immediate safety and well-being, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience," the district said. Updates will be given to families to keep them updated on any developments about this occurrence as investigations proceed.
