Beyoncé’s Christmas Day halftime performance at the Texans game has created a holiday hotel boom in Houston, with bookings up 210% and demand surging near NRG Stadium.
Houston is getting a lot of holiday cheer and hotel reservations because of Beyoncé this Christmas. According to Hotels.com, the number of hotel reservations has gone up 210% year-over-year because of her much-anticipated halftime show at NRG Stadium on December 25 between the Texans and the Ravens.
The show will include songs from her Grammy-nominated record Cowboy Carter. Fans will get to hear these songs live for the first time. There is a huge demand for places to stay near NRG Stadium and in downtown Houston. Nightly rates are now an average of $150.
This is not the first time that Beyoncé has made her hometown hotels very popular. The stop on her 2022 Renaissance World Tour at NRG Stadium also caused a big rise in demand.
Fans can't wait for the halftime show, which Beyoncé has hinted at as "A Cowboy Carter Christmas." An Instagram video shows her putting a football ornament on a cactus, wearing an all-white outfit with a fluffy cowboy hat, and teasing a fun performance.
Businesses in the area are taking advantage of the excitement. For example, SirDavis American Whisky is holding watch parties all over the city. There are rumors that record guests from Cowboy Carter, which is up for 11 Grammys, will be on the show.
Houston is looking like the place to be for Christmas this year for both Beyoncé fans and Texans fans.

Galveston businesses are feeling the pinch of rising costs. Still, Chamber of Commerce CEO Gina Spagnola remains hopeful as the island prepares for a big tourism boost and its annual Women’s Conference.
Sachs on the Seawall, a $540 million development project in Galveston, aims to revitalize the city with world-class hotels, dining, green spaces, and luxury housing. The initiative is expected to boost the local economy, generate jobs, and restore historic assets, all while preserving the island’s iconic charm.
