Southeast Texas will experience rising humidity and high temperatures as winds move away from the southeast overnight. Mild evening lows in the 60s will be followed by patchy fog near the shore by early Monday morning.
By Monday afternoon, temperatures will be above 80°F, which is above usual for early March. A few light showers are possible ahead of a storm system approaching from the west.
The most significant weather event of the week is predicted to occur on Tuesday, when increased moisture and an incoming low-pressure system provide the conditions for thunderstorms. Rain is forecast early Tuesday morning, and a line of storms will pass into Houston by late morning or lunchtime.
Residents should be weather-aware since conditions may result in powerful storms and high winds. Stay tuned for any potential severe weather alerts.
